The Foundation Open Society - Macedonia (FOSM) supported the Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information and in the period 9 May – 17 June 2011 organized nine from the ten regional training sessions planned and titled: “Right to Free Access to Public Information." Training sessions targeted citizens, associations, as well as information mediation officers at information- holding entities who are directly involved in the law’s enforcement. They were organized in Veles, Stip, Kicevo, Debar, Resen, Struga, Strumica, Gevgelija and Kratovo. In the following period, the educative training will also be delivered in Delcevo.
Training sessions aimed to raise public awareness and knowledge among citizens and associations as regards the Law on Free Access to Public Information and 2010 Amendments thereto, the possibilities stemming therefrom and exercise of the right to free access to public information. They were delivered by trainers certified by the Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information.
